About

Hi and welcome! As the tagline states, this blog is about advice and stories from the intersection of running and life.

If you haven’t figured it out by the site name, I’m Jeff. I like to write. I’m certainly not the best writer in the world, but the more I write, the better I get. I write about all kinds of topics. I enjoy and like to write about non-fiction topics including running (of course), fitness, personal growth, and self-improvement. I also like to write about ZOMBIES! I will also occasionally dip my toes in the relationship arena, but this blog is solely dedicated to running.

I also like writing about not so fun mental health issues including depression, anxiety, loneliness – and how running can help. I think it’s important to discuss these topics and what we can do as a society to help lessen the stigma. I’m hoping I can help people connect by examining our crazy lives and engaging in discussion about subjects which most people avoid.

The reason I like to write about these topics is that I’ve experienced them. Writing and running are therapeutic for me. I’ve struggled like a lot of people out there and want to help. I’m not a professional counselor, therapist or anything like that. I’m your average middle-aged man who has had some problems. Problems which a lot of us experience and don’t know exactly what to do. By creating this blog, I’m hoping we can figure it out together.

Running has helped change my life and I know it has done the same for many of you. I want to share my experiences and what running means to me.

Besides being an ultra-runner, I’m a lover of books, a practitioner of positive thinking, and most importantly, and father to two wonderful kids. I am also a big fan of tiny homes!

I am learning to live again. I do that one day at a time, one step at a time.

I would love to hear from you about any topic on the blog or if you just need someone to connect with or talk to.

You can contact me via email at jeff@jefftherunner.com or via the contact form on the site. I would also love to connect with you on Twitter and Instagram.

I don’t have a newsletter and to be honest, I really don’t want one. You can still subscribe to find out when new articles are published or contact me with any questions. I am in the process of completing my first book which should be published sometime in 2019.

I am also a certified Catalyst Life Coach which is accredited through the International Coaching Federation. I offer life coaching sessions for topics including, but not limited to, Health & Wellness, Career & Life Transitions, Fitness, Relationships, Romance, Anxiety, Self-Confidence, Purpose & Calling. The first session is free and will help us get acquainted and figure out if we are a good fit.

You can book sessions through my personal growth site here or through JRNI

Thanks for stopping by!
